Rust protection in
Stanley, NY. About an
hour, once a year.

Krown Stanley is an independently owned Krown dealer on Route 5 and 20 in Stanley, NY, spraying cars, trucks, and fleets across New York State. It’s a clear penetrating oil, not a black coating. It works on new vehicles and on vehicles that have already started to rust.

It’s a clear oil, not a
hard, black coating

Unlike traditional undercoating, Krown's active
formula penetrates exactly where rust starts,
delivering full-vehicle protection.

As a proven vehicle undercoating alternative, our rust control solution actively creeps into tight seams, spot welds, and hidden cavities, areas often missed by thicker, surface-based coatings—offering comprehensive undercarriage and full vehicle protection.

Krown’s product also provides built-in lubrication for essential moving components like door locks, battery terminals, grounding wires, and tailgate hinges—a critical function that thick, dripless coatings cannot perform. This dual action, combined with superior coverage and penetration, makes Krown the trusted rustproofing solution for vehicles in every climate.

The product is clear. And so are the results.

And because it’s an oil, it lubricates while it’s in there. Door locks, window regulators, hinges, battery terminals, suspension components.

“Two hundred thousand miles running the Thruway, and
there’s not a spot of rust starting underneath.”

Eric B, Geneva, NY

Already got rust? That’s most of
what comes through here.

Roughly seven out of ten vehicles that come through the shop are already rusting.

Because Krown penetrates instead of covering, it gets in behind rust that’s already there. It lifts the loose scale and keeps moisture from sitting against the metal underneath, which is what makes rust spread.

It won’t undo what’s already happened. Nothing will. But it will slow it down, and on a vehicle you want to keep another five or ten years, that’s the whole game.

The Krown Stanley building on Route 5 and 20

Krown Stanley has been on
Route 5 and 20 since 2011.

Rust protection is the whole business here, which is why the shop is set up the way it is: a drive-through bay, a waiting room worth sitting in, and a crew that does this all day, every day.

An hour in the shop

Vehicles come in the back of the building, go through the shop, and drive out the front. Most take about an hour, and you drive away right after.

There’s coffee, refreshments, and a
comfortable place to sit while you wait.

  • Where it goes.

Inside the doors, the rocker panels, the quarters, the pillars and the back sides of the fenders. Under the hood. The tailgate and the trunk lid. Inside the bed walls on a truck. The frame, the floor pans, the brake and fuel lines.

  • The Small Holes.

Our technicians are trained and certified to drill and spray into small access points laid out by Krown’s extensive library of drill and spray sheets.

  • May stain asphalt.

Krown may continue to drip after application. We recommend parking on gravel, grass, or another unpaved surface for the first 48 hours. Krown is solvent-free and environmentally friendly.

  • Electric & Hybrid are fine.

The oil doesn’t conduct electricity. It is dielectric up to 40,000 volts, so it protects wiring, sensors, and connectors without interfering with them. It’s thin enough that it doesn’t cover the high-voltage wiring, which matters for anyone servicing the vehicle later.

Every application gets recorded against your VIN, so it
shows up on your CARFAX report. When you sell, the
buyer can see it.

Fleets. We’ll come to you.

About 1,800 of the vehicles we sprayed last year were commercial. Service trucks, tractor trailers, municipal fleets, farm equipment, emergency vehicles.

Salt, mud, fertilizer, and constant washing are harder on a work truck than on anything in a driveway, and a fleet that rusts out early is a capital problem, not a cosmetic one.

Spring is the better
time.

Most people think about rust protection in the fall, right before the salt. But corrosion actually speeds up as things warm back up, and by March your vehicle is carrying a winter’s worth of salt in every seam.

We highly recommend starting with our Salt Eliminator underbody wash to break down and rinse out what’s built up, then spray on a clean surface. It’s the best application you’ll get all year, and you’re not waiting behind everybody else’s fall appointment. Salt Eliminator is an additional cost.
